The events that have unfolded these past few weeks with COVID -19 have left businesses and families wondering, "Where do we go from here?". As of right now, the West Point Livestock Auction is OPEN FOR BUSINESS!. After 3 conference calls with the secretary of Agriculture, Livestock Markets are exempt, for now, from the '10 people & under' social gathering mandate. It was reiterated several times that if they thought Livestock Markets weren't doing their part in controlling crowd size, we could be subject to losing the exemption.

Here is where we stand today, and what we are doing to manage/control crowd size at the auctions. We're asking that our consignors drop off their livestock and let us mail a check or you can wait in the parking lot and we will deliver the check to you. We are asking that all non-essential office business be done over the phone to help eliminate most foot traffic in the facility. Our office ring will be reserved for registered buyers only! Stop in the office to register for a buyer number.

Please respect the 6-foot social distancing policy that has been asked of everyone and all buyers and sellers can utilize our online method of marketing. Every auction is broadcast live on In addition, our Cafe will be closed until further notice.

Through this difficult time we ask for your understanding and patience. More than ever auctions are vital in the price discovery mechanism for the livestock suction industry. We all must do our part to see that auctions remain open for business! The West Point Livestock Auction will fight day and night for our producers. Please call us anytime with questions!
